Link1 link2 … there should be instructions in the description. I recommend that you download these from my Deviant Art page… *it’s a new version of Raycast, though, so there will be more materials and they will look better* I will show you how they look when applied in the image, below. You can go to MME/MaterialMap and apply the effect to your model. The arrows show from what positions my lighting is coming as I lit her with the three DirectionalLighting models. You can easily hide the lights model by going to MME and click “Hide/Show” in MME tabs Main, MaterialMap, Depthmap, PSSM. You can change the position and swivel the light direction of the DirectionalLight using the XYZ rollers. “first, you need to download the (MMBG, avisynth) and install, then convert your avi to avs ,and loading the avs file into MMD… finally, put a Extension/DummyScreen.x and LED.pmx into MMD… MMBG AviSynth“ LED.pmx does not work that easily and I don’t know how to make it work but I messaged the creator of Raycast and he said … but it is a little dark from the other sides! There is kind of a cheap-lens effect and a color-shift effect and using BloomThreshold we will make everything very pretty. There’s just less recoil energy to absorb and control in a 9mm round.Īdditionally, many manufacturers use the same frame on their 9mm and. 40 S&W really well? Absolutely.īut, if you spent an equal amount of training resources working on shooting the same handgun, chambered in 9mm, you’d probably be faster and more precise with the 9mm in the end. It can also be more challenging to shoot with one hand.Ĭan you improve your shooting skills enough to manage the recoil and shoot. However, high pressure rounds tend to produce a snappier recoil impulse, which can be uncomfortable for some shooters. 40 S&W has more felt recoil, no matter what. 40 S&W is essentially just a short 10mm round, it features higher breach pressure than both 9mm and. Regardless of your budget, you’ll get more training reps for your money, and therefore become more proficient with your gun, if you shoot 9mm - helping with that whole shot placement thing. Over the course of 1000 rounds, you could pay about $80 more for your ammunition if you’re shooting. That’s why the cost of your ammunition matters. But, the emphasis on shot placement is a reminder that, if you miss, you’re effectively shooting a zero caliber bullet. Very small rounds may not penetrate the breastplate or other bones.Īnd, saying that caliber is irrelevant suggests that you could use a BB gun, so long as you hit them in the right place.Ĭaliber does matter. ![]() Now, that’s not to say that caliber doesn’t matter at all. No matter where you go, the common wisdom is that shot placement is more important than what caliber you shoot. There are three key things to consider when picking the best self-defense caliber beyond terminal performance. Use a rifle if you want good terminal performance. ![]() And, it means that if a gun fires a bullet with enough energy to knock a person down, the recoil will be strong enough to knock you down when you shoot it.Įqual and opposite reactions and all that. (Photo by FBI)Īnd, before you start in on “knockdown power,” knockdown power doesn’t exist in handguns.īut, Newton’s Third Law does exist. Just a few years ago, the FBI released a study the affirmed the 9mm as the best round for its agents. ![]() Wait for a few minutes for the changes to apply. After which, apply the version which you just downloaded.
![]() I'm a little ashamed of how quickly Echoes has wormed its way into my daily life. It's a much leaner game than its big brother, which makes it easier to play and much less daunting. It's still a hardcore sandbox MMO, just a much leaner one. I doubt the phone version will win scores of active EVE Online players over, but I like that Echoes caters to a more casual audience. I won't be flying one of EVE Online's heavy-interdiction cruisers anytime soon (if ever), but I can still train towards flying a covert-ops stealth bomber. Echoes is also missing a lot of the more specialized ship and module variants but compensates with some new types so those combat roles are still viable. Guns don't use ammo, for example, which is a blessing because I hate having to memorize the dozens of ammo variants in EVE Online and which type of combat scenario each one is ideal for. These kinds of simplifications are everywhere in EVE Echoes. I don't have access to hyper-granular options like making a special column just to track enemy ships' transversal velocity, but I don't really miss it. There are some basic filters to choose from, like showing everything in nearby space or just enemy ships, and I can make my own custom filters, too. In EVE Online, the overview, a window that lists nearby objects so you can easily select them instead of finding them in 3D space, is a nightmarishly complicated tool that players spend forever fiddling with. If I drag my thumb out, that menu switches to a radial distance meter, letting me select the exact distance I want to maintain from my target. If I want to orbit an enemy ship at a particular distance, I just tap the ship in my overview window and hold the orbit command. You can mine ore, build ships, or carve out a career as a space trucker-or as one of the pirates who ambush them.Ĭombat works particularly well thanks to some really clever touches. You create a character that exists with hundreds of thousands of others in a big, sandbox universe where you can pretty much do whatever you want. A lot of different features and activities are missing right now, but the spirit of EVE is still alive and well. In a way, EVE Echoes reminds me of what EVE Online looked like when I first started playing nearly a decade ago. I can't understate how incredible it feels to play this on my phone. I don't have much time these days to personally invest in EVE Online's sprawling ecosystem of player-driven wars, political scandals, and skullduggery, but playing EVE Echoes is a surprisingly fun substitute. ![]() Released back in August, EVE Echoes is a smaller and simpler version of its big brother, but it's also much more accessible. It's an entirely separate game from the PC MMO-accounts and progress aren't shared-co-developed by NetEase. ![]() Girgin was sent to work in Hiroshima for 6 months, after which the final design was frozen for scheduled 2003 production. By 2001, Hasip Girgin's design was chosen as a finalist. Design work began under chief designer Hideki Suzuki in 1999 at three Mazda design centres in California, United States Frankfurt, Germany and Hiroshima, Japan. Previewed by the MX-Sportif concept car, the first-generation Mazda3 was available in two body styles, a four-door fastback sedan/saloon, marketed as a "4-door coupé style" in Europe, and a five-door hatchback, branded the Sport version in Canada, Japan, and the United States. The Mazda3 is based on the Ford global C1 platform, shared with the latest European Ford Focus and Volvo S40. In 2006, the Mazda3 was the second best-selling car in Canada and the best selling car in Israel during 2005–2007. ![]() Some criticisms have included fuel economy and crash test results (only receiving four out of a maximum five stars from the Euro NCAP Safety Testing Programme) the latter of which was rectified by making six airbags standard. The model was well received by the automotive press for its performance, handling, styling and interior, with some describing it as feeling like a more expensive sports sedan/saloon despite its value-oriented price. The BK series Mazda3 was first unveiled at the 60th Frankfurt Motor Show on 10 September 2003, and launched in Japan in October 2003 as the Axela. The Mazda3 became one of Mazda's fastest-selling vehicles, with cumulative sales in January 2019 of over 6 million units. Ī performance-oriented version of the Mazda3 was marketed until 2013 as the Mazdaspeed3 in North America, Mazdaspeed Axela in Japan, and the Mazda3 MPS in Europe and Australia. For the 2019 model, the all-new Mazda3 is equipped with the updated Skyactiv technologies, including a spark-controlled compression ignition engine marketed as the Skyactiv-X. The fourth-generation Mazda3 for the 2019 model year was unveiled in November 2018 at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The third-generation model is the first Mazda3 to adopt the "Kodo" design language and a more complete Skyactiv range of technologies. The third generation was introduced in mid-2013 as a 2014 model year. ![]() For the 2012 model year, Mazda began offering the Mazda3 with their newly developed Skyactiv technology, including a more rigid body, a new direct-injection engine, and a new 6-speed transmission. The second-generation Mazda3 for the 2009 model year was unveiled in late 2008, with the sedan premiering at the Los Angeles Auto Show and the hatchback at the Bologna Motor Show. It was first introduced in 2003 as a 2004 model, replacing the Familia/323/Protegé in the C-segment. Having a ready-to-go channel strip that works even while recording or input monitoring can come in very handy. Click on a track and you get quick access to lots of parameters, automation, routing, sends, EQs, customizable quick controls, transposition, velocity thresholds, quantization, beat detection, and the channel strip. In many ways, what you are presented with on each track itself speaks volumes for what Cubase is all about. ( According to Steinberg, support for retina display is coming in the near future. Cubase is a creative environment, with a highly detailed user interface, and much of those lovely details end up looking blurry and pixelated on a retina display. Secondly, Apple has been putting retina displays in their computers since 2012, and now three years later, Cubase is not yet optimized for these displays. ![]() This fact alone might discourage quite a few people from ever trying Cubase. In Steinberg’s case, it’s also a dongle that a majority of consumers and pros don’t own, which means anyone who wishes to demo Cubase Pro 8, is required to have one of these eLicensers or go out and spend $25 to get one. I cannot understand how anyone developing new software today can force users to give up a USB port just to run the software.Īs of late, there’s been a big push to move towards cloud licensing, and other forms of copyright protection that do not require users to have a USB dongle - what companies like Adobe and Waves have done are terrific examples of this. There are two glaring issues that I have with Cubase Pro 8, and I would like to lay those on the table before diving into the many aspects that Steinberg got right in this DAW. Jump forward a few days, and I’m looking at the 1,337 page manual that’s included in Cubase Pro, thinking, “What have I done?” Did I really want to re-learn the methods I’ve come to love, or at least begrudgingly accept? Looking at the blank session, I took a deep breath, and dove in. So this opportunity seemed like a fortuitous one, and I gladly accepted. I’ve been reluctant to try adapting how I work for years. Inevitably, we develop a workflow that gets us working, and as we conform to this way of doing things, it can become increasingly more daunting to even consider trying anything else out. While my recording facility is primarily a Pro-Tools HD room, I was looking for a DAW that would fit nicely with the work I like to do away from the big room, mostly on a MacBook Pro - a program that would really make composing, writing, and exploring ideas easy and fun.Īll of us who regularly work with DAWs, regardless of which one we lean towards, can say there are features we love and others that we wish we could write out of the code immediately. However, as I began to think about essentially being forced to learn a new program, it seemed like the task could be worth pursuing. Oxygen has a slightly negative charge, while the two hydrogens have a slightly positive charge. This is why you can fill a glass of water just barely above the rim without it spilling.īecause of water's polarity, it is able to dissolve or dissociate many particles. Water molecules are very cohesive because of the molecule's polarity. Cohesion is intermolecular forces between like molecules this is why water molecules are able to hold themselves together in a drop.Liquids with stronger intermolecular interactions are usually more viscous than liquids with weak intermolecular interactions. We normally think of liquids like honey or motor oil being viscous, but when compared to other substances with like structures, water is viscous. Viscosity is the property of fluid having high resistance to flow.Water has very strong intermolecular forces, hence the low vapor pressure, but it's even lower compared to larger molecules with low vapor pressures. Vapor pressure is inversely related to intermolecular forces, so those with stronger intermolecular forces have a lower vapor pressure. Water's heat of vaporization is 41 kJ/mol. Vaporization occurs when a liquid changes to a gas, which makes it an endothermic reaction. Water also has an exceptionally high heat of vaporization. Water's high surface tension is due to the hydrogen bonding in water molecules. Surface Tension, Heat of Vaporization, and Vapor Pressureīesides mercury, water has the highest surface tension for all liquids. This is also why sweat is able to cool our bodies. If water was very easy to freeze or boil, drastic changes in the environment and so in oceans or lakes would cause all the organisms living in water to die. The boiling and freezing points of water enable the molecules to be very slow to boil or freeze, this is important to the ecosystems living in water. ![]() The same concept is applied to freezing point as well, as seen in the table below. This is because water requires more energy to break its hydrogen bonds before it can then begin to boil. So despite its small molecular weight, water has an incredibly big boiling point. And we all know that the boiling point of water is 100☌. One more up and you find that H 2S (hydrogen sulfide) has a boiling point at -62☌. Moving up, the next hydride would be H 2Se (hydrogen selenide) with a boiling point of -42☌. So the hydride for tellurium: H 2Te (hydrogen telluride) has a boiling point of -4☌. If you look at the periodic table and locate tellurium (atomic number: 52), you find that the boiling points of hydrides decrease as molecule size decreases. |
